World Psychedelic Forum

In Basel, Switzerland, about fifteen hundred visionary scientists,
psychologists, consciousness researchers, drug policies advocates,
artists and like-minded renegades gathered to celebrate and share
research on the controversial substances that have inspired and
confounded a generation.  Alex illuminated the audience with his
perspective on visionary culture, the way our era has been influenced
by sacramentally induced altered states of consciousness.  Allyson
started the conversation "What Do We Tell the Children?" and was
joined by Alex who together led a lively discussion that was carried
on well after the workshop.

Following the conference, the Grey's visited the Goetheanum, a sacred  site designed and built by the great educator and visionary, Rudolf  Steiner.  The structure, built in the 1920's, honors creativity in  every form and is the center for the Waldorf School movement  internationally.  The Goetheanum is also a site of non-denominational  spirituality. Traveling on, the Grey's with artist and staff member, Zachariah  Gregory, who also attended the Basel conference, met Damanhurian  friends in Milan.  Dsc_0280

Alex, Allyson and Zach took time to draw  Michelangelo's last sculpture, a Pieta in the Castello Sforzesco.    Dsc_0336

With Esperide Ananas of Damanhur, they also visited an extraordinary  retrospective of one of Alex's favorite contemporary artists, the  late Francis Bacon. Friends from CoSM and Damanhur toured the Milan Cathedral and the  celebrated walkway of high end shops. Img_0559

Following our day in Milan, the gang returned to the beauty of the  pre-Alps region of Damanhur where we all toured the Temples and spent  time with good friends.

Lance Armstrong visits CoSM

American sports hero, Lance Armstrong, visited the Chapel of Sacred
Mirrors Saturday March 30, 2008.  His amazing recovery from cancer
and unequalled win of seven Tour de France bicycle races places him
in a champion category all by himself.  He was fascinated by Alex's
anatomical studies and enjoyed viewing Allyson's one person show at
